St Philip's Lutheran Church is a member congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC). 

The ELCIC Mission Statement says: 

The mission of this church, as an expression of the universal Church and as an instrument of the Holy Spirit, is to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to people in Canada and around the world through the proclamation of the Word, the administration of the Sacraments and through service in Christ's name.1

As part of the ELCIC, we are also part of the Eastern Synod.

The Eastern Synod is one of five synods in the ELCIC, consisting of more than 200 member congregations and 78,000 baptized members. The territory of the Eastern Synod runs from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario to Halifax, Nova Scotia
