We have a history of sponsoring refugee families to relocate to safety in Canada.  Most recently, Canadian Lutheran World Relief (CLWR) asked us to sponsor an Afghan family of five. The parents had been threatened because of their work exposing human rights violations by the Taliban.  

     

The family is safe now and has made a new home in Canada. 

We are waiting now on the applications of some individuals to come to Canada.  The refugee process is a long one.
